Gorilla Permit Prices Reduce

The legalised tourism body of Uganda has cut down the price tag on a gorilla permit in order to lure more sightseers to the area which has half of the mountain gorillas left in the whole world.

The Uganda Wildlife Authority has therefore reduced the fees from $500 to $350 per permit for each gorilla safari trek. This has been done at a time when two new gorilla families have been introduced in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in Uganda. Basing on the words from the UWA Director, Dr. Andrew Seguya, this marketing move is likely to boost the lots of gorilla safari permits sold day after day, from 64 to atleast 80. It should be noted that the price cut applies only to the months of March, April, May, October and November.

Uganda is home to the mountain gorillas in Uganda with about 700 mountain gorillas which are living in the thick tropical forest of Bwindi, the other gorillas are found in Rwanda's parc des volcanoes.
